Analyst, IT Data Center Operations (Weekend Nights)

Responsibilities

What you’ll achieve

In this position as Analyst, IT Data Center Operations , you will increase data center reliability and uptime by proactively identifying risks, executing infrastructure improvements and contributing to incident incident-prevention initiatives. You will also enhance operational efficiency through process optimization, automation opportunities and improvements that reduce turnaround time for deployments, maintenance or troubleshooting activities.

You will:

  • Rack, stack, install, configure, decommission, and replace servers, storage systems, and network equipment (routers, switches, firewalls).

  • Perform hardware diagnostics and component-level replacements (drives, memory, power supplies, NICs).

  • Ensure equipment is installed according to data center standards and best practices.

  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, operating system, application, and network connectivity issues.

  • Maintain accurate asset inventory records and system documentation.

Essential Requirements

  • Strong understanding of server, storage, and networking hardware.

  • Familiarity with operating systems, basic networking concepts, and troubleshooting methodologies.

  • Experience working in data center or mission-critical environments preferred.

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working in data centers

  • Must be willing and able to work weekend night shift (7pm-7am Fri, Sat, & Sun)

Desirable Requirements

  • Familiarity with DCIM tools, ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow), and monitoring platforms

  • Relevant technical certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+/Network+, vendor hardware certifications)

Compensation

Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary range for this position is $66,700 - $84,800
