BlackRock Japan serves many of the country’s leading institutional investors, including public pension and large financial institutions. With a long-standing local presence in Tokyo and access to BlackRock’s global investment platform, the team delivers investment solutions across index, active and alternatives. Role Overview
We are seeking a relationship management professional to help deepen partnerships with some of Japan’s largest institutional investors.
Working closely with senior Relationship Managers, you will support client engagement efforts, contribute to strategic client initiatives, and help deliver BlackRock’s broad range of investment capabilities. The role offers significant exposure to leading asset owners, investment products and senior stakeholders across the firm, while providing opportunities to develop broader client coverage responsibilities over time.
Responsibilities

Partner with Relationship Managers to support and develop relationships with institutional clients in Japan.

Help identify client needs and business opportunities by leveraging knowledge of financial markets and BlackRock’s firm-wide capabilities.

Coordinate client engagement activities, including meetings, presentations and follow-up actions.

Collaborate with portfolio managers, product specialists, operations, marketing and risk partners to deliver a high-quality client experience.

Assist in the development and delivery of investment solutions, market insights and thought leadership for clients.

Develop knowledge across BlackRock’s investment platform, including equities, fixed income, ETFs, multi-asset and alternative investments.

Utilize BlackRock’s proprietary tools and resources to analyze market, portfolio and economic data and create client-facing materials.

Respond to client requests and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

Support business development initiatives, client events and strategic projects across the Japan Institutional Business.
Qualifications & Experience
Required Qualifications

3+ years of experience in asset management, financial services, banking or a related industry.

Strong client service mindset and ability to build trusted relationships.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Japanese and business level in English
-
Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.

Strong intellectual curiosity and a commitment to continuously learning about evolving financial markets, industry trends, and regulatory developments.

Knowledge of financial markets and investment products.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills.

High level of integrity, professionalism and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with institutional investors.

Knowledge of asset management products, including alternatives and multi-asset solutions.

Securities Broker Representative License (First Grade).

Experience with data analysis, presentation development and financial market research.

Interest in learning and utilizing BlackRock technology, including Aladdin.
