Job Description

Our client is a global software company looking for a strategic, high-energy professional to help identify and evaluate growth opportunities through acquisitions, investments, and strategic partnerships. This role blends market strategy, investment analysis, and deal execution, making it ideal for someone with experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, corporate development, or strategy consulting.

What You'll Do

Develop market analyses and investment theses to identify attractive growth opportunities.

Evaluate acquisition targets, strategic investments, and partnerships across software and technology markets.

Build compelling business cases and executive-level recommendations supported by data and market insights.

Lead strategic workshops with business leaders to define growth priorities and investment strategies.

Partner with corporate and business-unit stakeholders to move opportunities from initial concept through offer approval.

Analyze emerging technology trends, including AI, to assess market opportunities, competitive positioning, and long-term value creation.

Support multiple industries and technology segments, requiring the ability to quickly learn new markets and form informed opinions.

Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary: $190,000 - $230,000

Annual Bonus: 15% target bonus

Excellent work-life balance

Limited travel (approximately 5-7%, primarily domestic with occasional international travel)

Exposure to executive leadership and high-impact strategic initiatives

Skills and Requirements

5+ years of experience in Corporate Development, Investment Banking, Private Equity, Venture Capital, Strategy Consulting, Corporate Strategy, or a related field.

Strong financial modeling, valuation, market research, and strategic analysis skills.

Experience evaluating or supporting M&A transactions and corporate growth initiatives.

Exceptional storytelling and communication skills with the ability to present complex ideas to executive leadership.

Demonstrated ability to build strategic narratives supported by data and market intelligence.

Intellectual curiosity and ability to quickly become knowledgeable in new industries, technologies, and business models.

Interest in software, technology, AI, or digital transformation markets.

Bachelor's degree required. Investment Banking Analyst or Associate ready to step into a more strategic, operational role.

Private Equity or Venture Capital professionals with transaction and market evaluation experience.

Corporate Strategy or Corporate Development professionals from software, technology, cloud, SaaS, semiconductor, simulation, engineering software, or related industries.

Candidates from organizations such as Microsoft, AWS, enterprise software companies, or other technology-focused environments are highly attractive.
