Position Summary As a Java full-stack Engineering Manager with CVS Health PSS IT team, you will build high-quality, usable products for PSS IT customers and stakeholders.

Day to Day:

  • Help provide input to product roadmap, technical design, oversee engineering practices, and lead product build using agile (Scrum, SAFe) software development practices and create products from discovery and framing through iterative development and delivery.

  • You will maintain a user-centered and business-as-priority approach in design perspective and practice.

  • You have a firm understanding of Java development principles and agile methodologies is crucial for success in the role.

  • Candidates must be able to work from office as per defined corporate guidelines. This role is Hybrid in Richardson, TX

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience working with enterprise solution delivery in a large-scale distributed software design environment, preferably in a J2EE development environment with strong leadership experience

  • 6+ years of experience with frontend development including Angular 8+ using NgRx

  • 6+ years of experience implementing REST services with Java and Spring Boot

  • 6+ years of experience working in an Agile-based development environment and using Agile concepts such as Continuous Integration (CI/CD) and Test-Driven Development (TDD)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong experience with Angular (version 12+), Java Spring Boot, and relational databases

  • Familiarity with AKS or similar container orchestration platforms

  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools like CircleCI, Docker, GitHub, and JFrog for streamlined deployment

  • Debugging and performance optimization techniques

  • Familiarity with PBM business domain

  • Experience in deploying to a cloud platform (Kubernetes, Azure, AWS, etc.)

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field preferred or equivalent experience

Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is:

$118,450.00 - $236,900.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
