$215,829 - $367,997 a year
Description
The Department of Medicine, Pulmonary & Critical Care Division is seeking an Interventional Pulmonologist to join our expanding procedure group (currently 2 Interventional Pulmonologists, 1 advanced bronchoscopist, and advanced practice providers), as part of the larger pulmonary and critical care faculty group. The division boasts a standalone bronchoscopy suite with anesthesia support at the main campus 5 days per week, with anticipated expansion to regional hospitals. The pulmonary program at URMC is recognized as a Top Program in Respiratory Disease by US News and World Report, and our cancer center was recently awarded NCI designation.
We seek a faculty member with a passion for academic medicine who has completed a three-year fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine and is board-eligible or board-certified in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. Board certification or eligibility in Interventional Pulmonology is highly desired, but faculty with strong bronchoscopy skills will be considered. Clinical time in the ICU, on Pulmonary Consults, and in the outpatient clinic is available. Protected time for basic, clinical, or translational research can be negotiated. Qualifications
M.D. Degree or equivalent
Must obtain a New York State Medical License prior to start date
Eligible for a Faculty Appointment at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry
Eligible for Board Certification in Pulmonary Diseases and/or Critical Care Medicine
Must meet all credentialing requirements
Post offer Drug Screen and Health Assessment required
Compliance with University and New York State health requirements

The referenced pay range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the base range of compensation for this faculty position. Individual salaries will be determined within the job’s salary range and established based on (but not limited to) market data, experience and expertise of the individual, and with consideration to related position salaries. Alignment of clinical incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process.
