An employer is looking for an experienced Security Controls Assessor to join their team supporting a large federal program at Scott Air Force Base.
Responsibilities:
Conduct security control assessments and review RMF documentation to ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity requirements.
Evaluate security artifacts, SSPs, POA&Ms, and authorization packages to identify risks, gaps, and areas of non-compliance.
Perform validation activities within eMASS and provide recommendations for risk acceptance, remediation, and authorization decisions.
Support the preparation and coordination of authorization packages for leadership review and approval.
Collaborate with cybersecurity teams, system owners, and stakeholders to provide guidance on RMF processes and security requirements.
Track package status, document findings, and maintain accurate cybersecurity compliance records.

Active Secret Clearance
6-8+ years of Cybersecurity experience
Strong RMF experience
Heavy eMASS experience
One of these certifications:
• CISSP
• CISM
• CISA
• CCISO
• CySA • GSLC
• GSNA
• CISSP-ISSEP
Experience reviewing security documentation: SSPs, POA&Ms, RMF Packages
Ability to work 100% on site at Scott Air Force Base PPSM (Ports, Protocols & Services Management)
Direct DoD assessment experience
Previous SCA-R experience
Master's Degree
