Maintenance Technician II

Position Schedule:

  • 2nd Shift – Monday – Friday, 3:00pm-11:30pm

  • Ability to work overtime during the week and Saturdays.

Position Pay:

  • Hourly Pay: $24.00 - $31.00 DOE

  • Plus 10% shift differential

Responsibility:

Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe and electrical systems in commercial or industrial establishments.

Job Duties:

  • Must be aware of and comply with related ISO/IATF procedures, as applicable.

  • Assemble, install or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery, and equipment.

  • Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.

  • Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools and reassemble equipment.

  • Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary.

  • Provide technical assistance on new or existing equipment.

  • Understand and carry out routine written and oral instructions and work with little or no supervision.

  • Complete stock requisitions to maintain maintenance supply inventories.

  • Recommend and perform preventative maintenance procedures.

  • Perform Confined Space Entries following all necessary procedures and policies.

  • Assists in the removal of snow (shoveling, snow blowing, salting, truck plowing etc.).

  • Is trained and participates as a member of the Company’s Fire Brigade Team and First Aid Team.

Education/ Skill Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

  • Minimum three years of related experience and/or training in equipment maintenance in a manufacturing setting; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Possess high mechanical ability and a working knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, welding, soldering, and other related skills.

  • Must have experience with both installing and repairing various industrial plumbing processes.

  • Able to communicate effectively in English both written and orally.

  • Must have a valid driver’s license with no violations.

Physical Demands:

  • Position requires individual to be capable of working throughout the facility, within reasonable accommodation.

  • Frequently required to walk and stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and climb or balance.

  • Occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 lbs.
