Position Type: Full-time, On-Site
Position Title: Quality Control Technician
Job Type: Hourly (non-exempt)
Hours: Monday through Friday 11:30pm-8am.
Shift Diff.: $2.00 per hr.

Job Summary:
The Quality Control Technician will be responsible for monitoring production lines. This role offers responsibility, variety, and the satisfaction that your role makes a real impact on our success. The position will report to the Quality Control Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities:

Ensure that all raw material and finished goods meet all quality and food safety standards.

Perform Daily pre-operational inspections and closing cleaning inspections

Ensure quality control tests effectively
-
Conduct daily GMP audits.
-
Check label accuracy and integrity.
-
Handle HACCP & SQF record keeping

QC Checklist
-
Label Inspection-CCP#1

Metal Detector Monitoring Form
-
Lot Inspection
-
Other Forms as needed
-
Conduct Micro test sampling.
-
Prepare customer samples.
-
Conduct sensory evaluation.
-
Take all measures necessary to ensure food safety.

Calibrate equipment.

Allergen Validation testing
-
ATP Testing
-
Assist in implementation of corrective action required as a result of audit

Ensure nonconforming products are handled appropriately
-
Communicate nonconforming products to appropriate personnel
-
Follow up with the HOLD procedure
-
Other duties will be added as necessary
Requirements:
-
GMP experience in manufacturing environment
-
Working knowledge of safety rules, regulations and training.

Bilingual (Spanish/English) Good Communication skills

Basic computer skills

Attention to detail

Ability to work in a team environment
Physical Stamina:
-
Ability to continuously lift up to 50 lbs.

Ability to bend, twist, constant use of a ladder and walk throughout the shift

Must be able to stand for the duration of the shift 8-10+ hours.
