Penfield, NY, USA | Hourly | 20-22 per year | Full Time

Position Summary: The Administrative Assistant acts as clerical support by providing quality assistance to supervisors and co-workers on a daily basis. They ensure high standards of excellence in written and oral communication being generated, while maintaining an organized and efficient office environment. They ensure timely distribution of materials to community agencies, CHOWC affiliates, and appropriate staff on a regular basis.
Responsibilities:

Provide support to all programs daily through a variety of administrative tasks and reporting processes.

Ensure timely, accurate recording of case specific materials, foster parent files, census data, monthly and annual reports.

Ensure reports and vouchers are completed accurately and timely for appropriate billing and revenue purposes.

Cross train with other members of the department to be able to provide backup assistance in times of high demand, vacancies in positions, and reassignment of duties.

Ensure proficiency in office technology and systems, updating skills as needed. Be able to produce professional grade documents, worksheets, and databases as related to the position.

Provide organization, attention to detail and follow-through on assignments and projects. Professionally handle changing responsibilities and demands; perform consistently under pressure and in emergencies. Before making decisions and judgments based on evidence at hand, conferring with the supervisor as appropriate.

Requirements
Education:

High School Diploma / GED required

Associates degree preferred
Experience:
-
Strong computer skills required

Some experience in an office and administrative capacity preferred

Excellent verbal and written communication, problem solving, record keeping and organizational skills required. Strong working knowledge of computers and other standard office equipment required

Able to assume responsibilities without supervision, exercise initiative, maintain strict confidentiality and portray a professional image required
