Job Summary

BMarko Structures is seeking a detail‑oriented and proactive Safety Inspector to help maintain a safe, compliant, and efficient work environment. The Safety Inspector is responsible for monitoring workplace conditions, identifying potential hazards, ensuring compliance with applicable safety regulations, and promoting a strong culture of safety across all operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities, equipment, and work practices to identify safety hazards and compliance issues

  • Ensure adherence to company safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory standards

  • Document inspection findings, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions

  • Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near‑misses; assist with root‑cause analysis

  • Verify that corrective actions are implemented and effective

  • Support safety training initiatives and educate employees on safe work practices

  • Maintain accurate safety records, inspection logs, and incident documentation

  • Collaborate with supervisors and management to improve overall safety performance

  • Participate in safety audits and assist during regulatory inspections as required

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, industrial technology, or a related field preferred

  • Prior experience in safety inspection, manufacturing, construction, or industrial environments preferred

  • Working knowledge of workplace safety regulations and best practices

  • Strong observation, analytical, and problem‑solving skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and interact effectively with employees at all levels

Certifications (Preferred)

  • OSHA 10‑Hour or 30‑Hour Certification

  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or similar credential (a plus)

Physical & Work Requirements

  • Ability to walk, stand, and inspect work areas for extended periods

  • Ability to lift and carry items as required during inspections

  • Willingness to work in industrial environments and use required personal protective equipment (PPE)
