Full job description
EMS, Thin Metal Parts is seeking a detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our team! Great opportunity for motivated individuals looking to develop their skills. Summary: Prepare and process electroplating equipment to produce parts for customers.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Operate cleaning and plating processes.

Process parts through the appropriate chemical baths, following run sheets.

Perform chemical additions as specified by lab.
-
Use a micrometer to measure parts, perform calculations and adjust process parameters.

In-process inspection of parts using naked eye and magnification.

Transfer of chemicals to and from electroforming/photo areas.
-
General maintenance of equipment and housecleaning of all areas.

Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Other Considerations:
-
Demonstrable basic PC skills.

Able to read blueprints/drawings.
-
Ability to follow run sheets and enter data where applicable.

Ability to multi-task (work in different areas of building on different products simultaneously)

Experience with chemicals and knowledge of safety protocols preferred.

Some heavy lifting may be required.

Fluent in English, written and verbal skills.

Ability to troubleshoot.

Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
