Full job description

About MediCircle MediCircle is building the national infrastructure to make prescription drugs affordable. Today, billions of dollars of perfectly usable medications go unused, while patients are forced to skip or abandon life-saving treatments due to cost. We exist to change that. MediCircle reclaims unused medications, recertifies their quality using our patented process, and redistributes them through our licensed pharmacy. In doing so, we provide patients with medications at zero out-of-pocket cost, while generating savings for our payer, plan sponsor, and value-based care clients. We are a VC-backed, early-stage healthcare technology company with a proven model and accelerating growth:

  • $45M+ in medications reclaimed to date

  • Active partnerships with market-leading customers, including national VBCs, PBMs, and regional health systems.

  • Rapidly expanding demand across enterprise and government channels

If our mission resonates with you, you are interested in joining a high-growth healthcare company, and you are energized by directly impacting the lives of millions of patients who can no longer access or afford their medications, we would love to hear from you.

Role Overview As a Pharmacy Technician at MediCircle, you will be responsible for ensuring that MediCircle provides best-in-class customer service to our patients and partners. You will assist our Pharmacist in Charge with pharmacy management, preparation of outgoing drug donation kits, inventory management, medication fulfillment, medication disposal, and other tasks as assigned. You will gain meaningful exposure to building and scaling a novel pharmacy operation, with the opportunity to grow alongside the business. This is a high-impact patient-facing role that is integral to MediCircle’s growth and success.

Role Responsibilities

  • Checking in and verifying new medications from donors with accuracy and care

  • Ensuring timely drop-off of outgoing drug donation kits to courier

  • Managing and optimizing the drug donation process, with a focus on driving growth

  • Communicating via phone, text, and email with patients, providers, and pharmacists to resolve any issues and provide prescription updates while adhering to HIPAA regulations and company policies – you will be the friendly voice patients hear when they need updates or reassurance

  • Working closely with cross-functional teams and external partners to drive customer satisfaction and ensure a seamless experience for patients and providers

  • Identifying and supporting the implementation of new processes, tools, and policies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of pharmacy operations and workflows

Required Qualifications

  • Education: high school diploma or equivalent diploma (e.g., GED)

  • Certification: Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential in good standing; active registration with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP)

  • Experience: 2+ years as a Pharmacy Technician

  • Familiar with industry-specific terminology (NDC codes, SIG codes, both brand and generic names of medications, etc)

  • Aptitude to learn and navigate computer systems and applications that may be new to you

  • Location: this role is on-site at our pharmacy in Sugar Land, Texas – please apply only if you live within driving distance

  • Availability: full-time availability required; operating hours are 9am to 5pm CST Monday - Friday

  • You take pride in your work, care deeply about patients, and aren’t afraid to roll up your sleeves to make things better, no matter how big or small the task

  • You must be willing (and excited) to work in a fast-paced, flexible, startup environment – we’re looking for candidates who are adaptable and energized by building something new

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in pharmacy operations, fulfillment, or closed-door pharmacy settings

  • Familiarity with inventory-heavy or redistribution-focused pharmacy models

  • Experience working in early-stage startup, high-growth, or process-evolving environments

  • Comfort with technology-enabled pharmacy workflows and digital documentation systems

  • Fluent or conversational Spanish (fluent English required)
