Patient Escort Days - Variable - .02
Department: CENTRAL TRANSPORT
Job Summary
This position is responsible for the safe, comfortable, courteous, and timely transport of patients via prescribed transport vehicles.
Core Job Responsibilities
-
Responsible for working with the nursing staff to assist in the patient care related to the transfer and transport of the patient to and from the nursing unit

Responsible for the delivery of equipment and reallocation of transport devices to various areas within the organization

Greeting customers/ patients and responding to their needs questions in the main lobby
-
Ensures a clean and safe environment by maintaining safety standards and performing cleaning in the main lobby as needed
-
Perform other duties as required.
Education/Experience Requirements
Required:
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
PREFERRED:
-
Knowledge of computer/phone systems preferred.

Prior experience in a hospital setting

Strong written and verbal communication skills
-
Ability to multitask and work in a high-pressure environment.
