About LUMILENS

At Lumilens we are building the critical photonics infrastructure that powers tomorrow’s AI supercomputing. From chip-to-chip optical interconnects to scalable photonic engines, Lumilens is unlocking a new era of computing - faster, cooler, and massively more efficient.

We’re a well-funded startup backed by Mayfield and led by veterans who’ve built and scaled some of the most transformative technologies in the industry. At Lumilens, we’re developing high-speed photonics products purpose-built to power the future of AI infrastructure and high-performance computing.

This isn’t incremental innovation, it’s a ground-floor opportunity to rethink the optical layer from the silicon up. You’ll work alongside a team of world-class engineers solving some of the hardest challenges in scaling optical systems. If you're looking for mission, momentum, and the chance to make an outsized impact, jump on the rocket ship. We’re just getting started.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Planning Manager to own end-to-end supply chain execution for volume production, ensuring materials, capacity, and inventory are aligned with production building schedules and ramp requirements. This role is responsible for MRP-driven material planning, CM build plan management, inventory optimization, and ongoing supplier risk management to keep production running reliably on a scale.

Key Responsibilities

Supply Chain Planning

  • Translate production forecasts and build plans into MRP, procurement plans, and supplier commitments.

  • Monitor and optimize inventory levels, safety stock, and material consumption to minimize wastage while protecting build continuity.

Execution

  • Lead supply chain readiness across production builds at CM partners.

  • Coordinate build schedules, material availability, and logistics with CM partners and suppliers to support ongoing production volume.

  • Support engineering change management for production-phase design revisions, ensuring supply chain plans stay aligned.

  • Manage the transition from NPI/pilot builds into steady-state production ramp, in coordination with NPI supply chain and engineering teams.

Supplier & Manufacturing Coordination

  • Develop and manage the production build plan at CM partners, aligned with demand and business requirements.

  • Monitor supplier lead times, capacity constraints, and delivery commitments at production volume.

  • Work with procurement to secure ongoing material supply and manufacturing capacity as volumes scale.

Risk Management

  • Identify potential material shortages, supply disruptions, or single-source risks affecting production continuity.

  • Maintain visibility of critical-path components and long-lead items across the production supply base.

Analytics & Reporting

  • Track key supply chain metrics including forecast accuracy, inventory turns, and on-time material availability for production.

  • Provide regular updates on production supply readiness and risks to cross-functional leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Supply Chain, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain planning, material planning, or MRP execution, ideally in electronics, semiconductor, or hardware manufacturing.

  • Proven track record managing material and supply plans across multiple sites/regions coordinating with suppliers and contract manufacturing (CM) partners to keep build schedules on track.

  • Hands-on experience with an ERP/MRP system (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar) and strong Excel/data skills.

  • Excellent analytical, forecasting, and cross-functional stakeholder management skill

  • Experience with inventory optimization is a strong plus.
