Important skills include Floor Care Techniques and Attention To Detail. Preferred (not required): Floor Care Equipment Operation, Cleaning Chemicals Handling, Independent Work, and Maintaining Cleanliness Standards.

7:00am-3:00pm, + every other weekend
At the Heartwood Lodge, we are committed to providing a safe, comfortable, and caring home for our residents. Our team values dignity, respect, and compassion in everything we do. We are currently seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and dedicated Floor Care Technician (Janitorial) to help maintain a clean, healthy, and welcoming environment for our residents, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine and deep cleaning of floors, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, buffing, waxing, and polishing.

Maintain carpets through vacuuming, spot cleaning, shampooing, and extraction as needed.

Operate and maintain floor care equipment such as buffers, burnishers, extractors, and auto scrubbers.

Follow proper safety procedures when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.

Ensure hallways, dining areas, resident rooms, and common areas meet cleanliness and infection control standards.

Assist housekeeping staff with general cleaning tasks as needed.

Monitor and report any floor damage, safety hazards, or necessary repairs to the supervisor.

Maintain inventory of floor care supplies and request replacements when necessary.

Adhere to all facility policies, health and safety guidelines, and state and federal regulations.

Clean and sanitize public bathrooms, common areas, rehab gym, and offices.

Dust, vacuum, mop, and polish furniture and fixtures as needed.

Remove trash and replace liners.

Restock supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, and soap.

Report any maintenance concerns or safety hazards to the supervisor.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Previous experience in floor care or environmental services, preferably in a healthcare or senior living environment preferred.

Knowledge of floor care techniques, equipment, and proper use of cleaning chemicals preferred.

Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a high standard of cleanliness.

Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and operate heavy cleaning equipment for extended periods.

Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
