Full job description
Job Summary: Performs radiographic procedures to demonstrate vascular structures for interpretation and/or therapeutic intervention. Provides appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of procedure. Performs all delegated activities in accordance with approved policies and guidelines.
Qualifications: Graduate of accredited radiography program. Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography (R). Must also hold advanced certification through ARRT in Vascular Interventional Radiography (VI) or Cardiac Interventional Radiography (CI). Must maintain continuing education as required by ARRT. Experienced radiographer with competency in special imaging technique demonstrating vascular structures and, at least, 2 years experience in IR/Special Procedures. Considerable ability to accept new responsibilities as new equipment/examinations are introduced. Ongoing participation in continuing education. Ability and desire to perform AIDET customer service skills for all Imaging patients is required. Current BLS certification required.
