Full job description

Hours: 2.5 hours (10:45-1:15 on student contact days) - (2 positions available) Class: IV (starting rate is $21.44 per hour) *This position is not health or dental benefit eligible Administrative Professional and Paraprofessional Contract

 

Position Description: The person in this position will be responsible for supervision of kindergarten students during the school day.  The successful candidate will work 2.5 hours a day and have the chance to support the learning of kindergarten students.  Duties include small group work/support, read alouds, 1:1 student interaction and assessment, supervision of an entire classroom, kindergarten recess, etc. Hours are 10:45-1:15 on student contact days

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with young children, preferably in a school environment
  • Ability to take direction
  • Ability to multitask and supervise students in an environment that is highly engaging
  • Flexibility and patience
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students
  • Ability to provide positive and effective supervision
