Job Description
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma and one year experience. Minimum of 21 years of age. Must be a sworn Peace Officer employed by an agency in the Kentuckian Region. USA Citizenship at time of appointment. Possess a Valid Driver's license. To be eligible for appointment candidates cannot have been convicted of a felony or misdemeanor domestic violence crime as set forth in 18 U.S.C. & 992 (g) (8) and (9). Successful completion of background investigation.
Position Description:
The Sworn Officer positions will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of all patrons attending athletic events hosted by the University of Louisville. This position will act as a deterrent for all crime and violence, while also providing on-site law enforcement, crowd control and traffic assistance when needed. This position will report directly to the Detail Commander.
Job Responsibilities
Provide security and deter violence and crime at assigned athletic events.
Arrest of on-site offenders as necessary.
Direct flow of vehicular and pedestrian traffic at assigned location.
Ensure the safety and security of all patrons at assigned athletic events.
Assist in emergency situations, including but not limited to medical and weather emergencies.
Preferred Qualifications:
Be a Sworn Peace Officer employed by an agency with arrest powers in Jefferson County Kentucky.
Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
