Wholesale Parts Associate

Location: Sioux Falls, SD Department: Parts Reports To: Parts Manager

Position Summary

The Wholesale Parts Associate is responsible for supporting the dealership’s wholesale parts operations by providing accurate, timely, and professional parts sales and service to body shops, repair facilities, and other wholesale customers. This role focuses on order fulfillment, inventory accuracy, customer communication, and collaboration with internal service and parts teams to ensure high customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Wholesale Sales & Customer Support

  • Receive, process, and fulfill wholesale parts orders via phone, email, and in‑person and online requests

  • Identify correct parts using electronic catalogs and dealership systems

  • Provide accurate pricing, availability, and estimated delivery times

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with wholesale customers

  • Resolve order discrepancies, returns, and warranty claims professionally

Inventory & Operations

  • Pull, stage, and prepare parts for delivery or pickup

  • Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts

  • Receive and stock incoming parts shipments

  • Ensure parts are labeled, stored, and organized correctly

  • Assist with inventory audits and loss prevention efforts

  • Follow dealership policies and procedures

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

  • Comply with all safety standards and inventory controls

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Automotive parts knowledge or dealership experience preferred

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment

  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with dealership systems (CDK or similar preferred)

  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record

Preferred

  • Prior wholesale parts or counter experience

  • Familiarity with body shop or service department operations

  • Strong customer service and communication skills

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly

  • Frequent bending, reaching, and handling of parts

  • Ability to work indoors and in warehouse environments

Work Schedule

  • Full‑time, Monday–Friday

  • Occasional early mornings or extended hours based on department needs
