Employment Type: Part time Shift: Rotating Shift

Description: Position Purpose

In the Inpatient Rehab Unit at Mount Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital , the Registered Nuse (RN) provides inpatient care for adult patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions requiring intensive therapy.

What You Will Do:

  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.

  • Administer medications, IV therapy, and pain management interventions as prescribed as well as monitoring for complications, infections, or changes in condition, responding appropriately to emergencies.

  • Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and activities of daily living (ADLs) to promote functional independence.

Minimum Qualifications

Required:

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing school

  • Valid RN license in Connecticut

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing

  • The ideal candidate will have two or more years of rehabilitation, orthopedic, or med-surg nursing in a acute inpatient setting.

  • BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
