Full job description

About Mistral Mistral provides full-stack AI solutions: from frontier models to developer tools, applications, and compute. We partner with enterprises tackling the hardest problems—across high-stakes industries like finance, manufacturing, defense, healthcare, and the public sector—co-creating customized AI systems that they can run on their terms.

We are a dynamic, collaborative team passionate about AI and its potential to transform society. Our diverse workforce thrives in competitive environments and is committed to driving innovation. Our teams are distributed between Europe, North America, Asia and the Middle East. We are creative, low-ego and team-spirited.

The Role As a Talent Acquisition Lead on the US recruiting team, you will be instrumental in building and scaling teams at Mistral from the ground up. Joining early means you’ll help shape both our recruitment strategy and operations, partnering closely with hiring managers across technical and business units. Your work will directly influence our success by ensuring we find and engage exceptional people who will drive Mistral’s growth. In this role, you’ll also foster a strong candidate experience and help establish recruiting best practices for our US efforts.

What You Will Do

  • Partner with technology and business leaders to understand hiring needs and identify the right talent

  • Own end-to-end recruitment, including sourcing, interviewing, and closing candidates

  • Guide candidates through the hiring process, providing clear communication and insights into our culture

  • Develop and refine recruiting processes, tools, and documentation to improve outcomes and efficiency

  • Use data to diagnose process issues and propose solutions

  • Deliver a high-quality candidate experience in a competitive talent market

  • Collaborate with others to continuously raise the bar for our hiring standards

  • Contribute directly to defining and evolving our talent acquisition approach in the US

What We're Looking For

  • At least 6 years of recruiting experience, including 2+ years in a startup or high-growth company

  • Demonstrated ability to independently hire for complex roles, both technical and business

  • Experience working across multiple locations or markets

  • Comfort navigating ambiguity and switching between strategic and hands-on work

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to influence peers and senior stakeholders without direct authority

  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to juggle shifting priorities

  • Professional experience with modern recruiting tools such as Ashby, LinkedIn Recruiter, or Modernloop

  • Track record of hiring for both business and tech roles
