Experienced Fabrication Welder - Put Your Full Skill Set to Work

Pay Rate: $24-$30 per hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm

Assignment Length: Temp-to-Hire

Are you a skilled welder with real-world experience in MIG (GMAW), TIG (GTAW), and Flux-Cored (FCAW) welding ? We're hiring experienced fabrication welders for immediate day-shift openings in the Greater Portland area. Our client is a respected metal fabrication manufacturer known for quality workmanship, precision-built products, and a strong safety culture. These positions offer $24-$30 per hour and are temp-to-hire with full-time hours, overtime opportunities, and long-term career potential.

This is not a repetitive production welding job. You'll work on custom fabricated products , read detailed blueprints, perform welds in multiple positions, and use the full range of your fabrication and welding skills. Typical Daily Duties:

  • Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, schematics, and fabrication drawings

  • Perform FCAW, GMAW, and GTAW welding on carbon steel and other metals in 1G, 2G, and 3G positions

  • Set up, fit, weld, grind, and finish fabricated components while maintaining strict quality standards

What We're Looking For:

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on fabrication welding experience using GTAW, GMAW, and FCAW processes

  • Ability to successfully complete a practical weld test and work from blueprints with minimal supervision

  • Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and commitment to producing high-quality welds
