Job Description
Assembles electronic analog and digital control products by populating printed circuit boards with through hole and SMT components using fixtures, soldering irons, various small hand/power tools following prescribed methods, procedures, and using assembly instructions and drawings.
Responsibilities include:
Assembly of electronic PC boards to meet required specifications using drawings and samples.
Checks and preps parts prior to assembly.
Inspects assembled units.
Builds or modifies products and electronic assemblies by adding, removing, or altering components as defined by predetermined schematics, diagrams, sketches, and procedures.
Build bases for enclosures & label covers for enclosures.
Touch up and trim soldered PCB’s.
Final product assembly (stand offs, bagging, labeling, cover/base drilling).
Product inspection (looking for defects, non-conformances)
Conformal coating (RTV, acrylic, etc.).
May complete rework on assemblies.
Maintain test records, data and other company required documentation.
Required Skills and Abilities
Mechanical skills and familiarity with the use of hand tools and various measuring and testing devices.
Soldering skills. Ability to solder under a magnifying glass.
Preferred -1 year of work experience in electronic/electromechanical assembly.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
