Job Overview
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented CMM Programmer/Operator to join our team. As a part of the Quality Control team, you will develop and conduct inspections of products and components using the coordinate measuring machine (CMM), according to established guidelines and quality standards and ensure the CMM is working correctly and productively. This position is excellent for anyone with the ability to work independently, has strong analytical skills, and a positive team-oriented attitude.
Responsibilities

Verify that products meet specified requirements including dimensions, functionality, appearance, and performance through visual inspections and using specialized tools or equipment as needed.

Perform dimensional inspections of parts and assemblies, writes nonconformance reports, and participates in continuous improvement activities.

Perform routine tests on materials and products to complete in process or final inspection.

Compare recorded measurements to blueprint dimensions and tolerances and notify specified persons of discrepancies.

Perform visual inspections and compare to customer’s specifications.

Record inspection results per procedures & customer requirements.

Program and operate CMM and perform complicated inspections.

Balloon blueprints and fill out inspection reports.

Perform other duties as assigned by the quality manager or quality director.
Skills

High School Diploma of equivalent.

Ability to read blueprints GD&T

Minimum of 1 year experience required.

Dexterity and preciseness required to operate gauges & testing equipment.

Manual inspection experience.

Familiarity with standard inspection measuring equipment.

Ability to perform 1st piece, in process, and final inspection to AS9102 standards.

Must pass eye exam to Jaeger 1 with color.

Flexible to work long hours as required to meet project deadlines.

Experience with calipers, micrometers, gages, pins and blocks

Experience with CMM and PC DMIS a plus
