Full job description

Responsibilities The Anesthesia Technician facilitates Perioperative patient care by assisting with clinical anesthesia activities under the direction and collaboration with the Registered Nurse and Anesthesiologist. This is done by providing supplies, equipment and assistance during anesthetic procedures in order to provide safe delivery of anesthetic patient care. Activities include performing the Preoperative FDA anesthesia machine checkouts, troubleshooting anesthesia equipment, starting patient intravenous lines, operating the intraoperative antilogous blood recovery system, and the three-dimensional image-guidance system.

Qualifications EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

 

1.     High school education or equivalent.  

2.     Courses in anatomy/physiology and basic chemistry at college level preferred.

3.     One year of Operating room experience preferred.

4.     BLS certification required.
