Full job description

Ready to help multinational clients tackle some of their most important retirement and benefits challenges around the world? Would you enjoy a role where no two days look the same — working with senior clients, expert colleagues and Aon teams across the globe?

If you want to combine global client work, technical variety and real scope to shape a growing team, this could be the opportunity for you.

This is a hybrid role, offering flexibility to work both virtually and from our London office.

Aon is in the business of better decisions

At Aon, we shape decisions for the better to protect and enrich the lives of people around the world. As an organization, we are united through trust as one inclusive, diverse team, and we are passionate about helping our colleagues and clients succeed.

What the day will look like

The Global Retirement Associate Partner will play a senior role in Aon’s UK International Wealth team, advising multinational clients on retirement and wider benefits issues around the world. You will help lead multinational client relationships and work with Aon colleagues across Wealth, Health and the broader business to bring the best of Aon to clients.

The role covers a broad range of international retirement and benefits work, including DB and DC plan design, pension accounting, governance, financing, investment, M&A, international mobility and cross-border benefit challenges.

  • Working with multinational clients to understand their retirement and benefits priorities, and helping them navigate issues across multiple countries.

  • Coordinating input from Aon teams around the world and bringing together clear, practical advice for clients.

  • Working on projects across areas such as global retirement strategy, DB and DC plan design, pension accounting, governance, M&A, international mobility and benefit harmonisation.

  • Leading projects or significant workstreams, taking responsibility for delivery, reviewing outputs and helping ensure high-quality client service.

  • Building connections across Aon to bring together the right expertise from Wealth, Health and the broader business.

  • Contributing to new business development, client growth and the development of new solutions as the International Wealth team continues to grow.

How this opportunity is different

This is an opportunity to join a specialist team advising multinational organisations on a wide range of international retirement and benefits challenges. The work is varied, global and often strategic, with exposure to clients, colleagues and markets around the world.

What makes the role different is the breadth of opportunity: you will help clients connect Aon’s global retirement expertise with wider Wealth, Health and business capabilities, while also helping build and grow the UK International Wealth team.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Experience in international retirement, pensions or benefits consulting, ideally within a global consulting organisation; and/or experience in-house with a multinational organisation.

  • Strong technical knowledge across DB and DC retirement arrangements, with the ability to apply this knowledge to practical client challenges.

  • Building, managing and developing multinational client relationships, including with senior stakeholders.

  • A commercial mindset, with the ability to help sell and deliver international retirement work, spot client needs, contribute to new business opportunities and build compelling proposals.

  • Ability to work effectively across countries, cultures and technical disciplines, bringing people together to deliver high-quality outcomes.

  • Experience in areas such as M&A, pension accounting, international mobility, benefit audits, global governance, strategy, new plan implementation or plan settlement would be helpful.

  • Experience working both in and outside the UK would be beneficial but is not essential.

  • A collaborative approach, with an interest in supporting colleagues and helping the team continue to grow.

  • A qualified pension actuary or other relevant professional qualification would be beneficial but is not a requirement.
