Important skills include Legal Research Training, Attention To Detail, and Legal Writing. Preferred (not required): Legal Technology and Artificial Intelligence.

Role Details Position: Part-Time Legal Research Intern
Location: Filevine HQ (Salt Lake City, UT OR Chicago, IL)
Hours: 10–20 hours per week (flexible around class schedules)
Eligibility: 2L and 3L students Responsibilities
Read and analyze published judicial opinions across state and federal jurisdictions.
Review outputs generated by AI systems and verify their accuracy against the source legal materials.
Apply your legal research training to identify errors, ambiguities, or edge cases in automated outputs.
Collaborate with legal researchers and ML engineers to improve data quality over time. Qualifications
Currently enrolled as a 2L or 3L at the University of Chicago Law School, Northwestern, or the Loyola University Chicago School of Law
Completion of at least the 1L curriculum, including legal research and writing.
Enjoy reading and analyzing judicial opinions, statutes, and other legal authorities.
