About the Role:

The Dietary Aid at Hickory Park plays a crucial role in supporting the nutritional and dietary needs of residents within a public administration healthcare setting. This position ensures that meals are prepared, delivered, and served in accordance with established dietary guidelines and individual resident care plans. The Dietary Aid collaborates closely with dietary staff, nursing personnel, and management to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient food service environment. Attention to detail and adherence to food safety standards are essential to promote the health and well-being of all residents. Ultimately, this role contributes significantly to the overall quality of life and satisfaction of those served by providing timely and appropriate dietary support.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and dietary guidelines accurately.

  • Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.

  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.

  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with residents and team members. Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a dietary or food service role, preferably in a healthcare or public administration setting.

  • Familiarity with special diets such as diabetic, low sodium, or texture-modified diets.

  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.

  • Demonstrated empathy and patience when working with elderly or medically fragile populations. Responsibilities:
