Our client, a leading organization in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a Sr EHS Specialist to join their team. As a Sr EHS Specialist, you will be part of the Environmental, Health, and Safety department supporting plant operations and maintenance teams. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to safety and environmental compliance, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Sr EHS Specialist

Location: Westlake, Louisiana

What's the Job?

  • Identify, implement, and supervise environmental, health, and safety activities to enhance overall site performance.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to air, wastewater, and hazardous waste programs.

  • Reinforce life safety programs such as Lockout/Tagout, Hot Work, and Confined Space procedures.

  • Perform hazard and risk analyses, document findings, and promote a safety-first culture across all levels of the organization.

  • Manage environmental permits, records, and reports in accordance with regulatory guidelines and corporate policies.

What's Needed?

  • B.S. Degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Chemical or Environmental Engineering.

  • Understanding of federal and state environmental and safety laws.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
