Position Overview: Performs the primary functions of a Perioperative Registered Nurse in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of all assigned patients from neonate to geriatric in the Operating Room/ Surgical Services during their shift. Must be able to circulate most services.
Position Highlights:

Starting Rate: $34.88 + per hour (commensurate with experience)

Shift Differentials: $4.00 - $10.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

Is responsible for meeting the AORN Standards of Nursing Practice. Carries out Infection Control policies and procedures.

Ensures active communication between self and the patient, anesthesia, physicians, OR staff and other hospital departments

Assists with the maintenance of surgical equipment and inventory.

Processes information on the HIS as required in performing job responsibilities.

Is able to perform the duties and know guidelines / standards for the PACU and Pre-op interview nurse as required.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina. Minimum two years of nursing experience; one of which preferred in OR, and/or 2 years of critical care. BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certification required or get within 6 months of employment. Possesses valid driver's license.
