Salary Range $20.00 - $24.00 Hourly

Description

Provides supportive peer counseling and advocacy to adult consumers receiving services in the through this mobile crisis program. Demonstrates knowledge of mental illness and the services available in the community. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the needs of the consumers served. He or she must be able to assess and interpret data about the consumer’s status in order to identify each consumer’s needs and provide the appropriate care, including age-related care, needed by the consumer group. Applicants must hold one of the following active certifications to be considered for this role: Certified Peer Specialist (CPS), Certified Recovery Specialist (CRS), Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS), or Certified Family Recovery Specialist (CRFS). Required to report to work in inclement weather.

Legacy operates the State-designated Crisis Intervention Program for Chester County, providing evaluations 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to individuals experiencing a psychiatric crisis or posing a danger to self, others, or property.

Hours:

Full Time; various shifts available. $1.00 shift differential for hours worked on weekends and 11:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m. weekdays.

This is a Full Time Benefited position with the following benefits:

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

High School Diploma or equivalent, with proof of some post-high school training, college work, or certificate program. AA/AS degree preferable. Must be a survivor of mental illness with a minimum of 1 year in recovery and must have knowledge of the mental health system. Must possess and maintain current certification as a CPS, CRS, CPRS, or CRFS.

Your driver's license must be in good standing, with no recent suspensions or violations of careless/reckless driving or excessive speeding of more than 20 MPH, and no more than 2 moving violations within the last 3 years.
