DUTIES:
The Occupational Therapist works with the building teams and the Committee on Special Education to provide evaluations with students with developmental, sensory, and motor needs. The OT provides a range of therapy and interventions to support students with disabilities, and provides consultation to building teams around assistive technology, sensory integration, and neurodevelopmental approaches. The OT helps to prepare IEPs and attends CSE meetings, and collaborates between parents, physicians, related service providers and outside agencies.
SALARY:
Highly competitive based on experience and graduate credits, per Rush-Henrietta Central School District Teachers' Contract.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must currently hold the Civil Service title of Occupational TherapistORbe reachable for appointment from the current Civil Service Occupational Therapist list of eligibles. The successful candidate must possess a New York State License as an Occupational Therapist; also, currently registered by the New York State Education Department OR possess a limited permit to practice issued by NYSED. Experience as an occupational therapist is required, preferably in a school or pediatric setting. Initiative, communication skills and strong knowledge of special education and academic support are required.

September 1, 2026
Attendance at New Teacher Orientation on August 25-27 is required.
