Responsibilities Reviews, analyzes, and codes documentation for hospital inpatient medical records to select and sequence the appropriate ICD-9-CM diagnosis, ICD-9-CM procedure codes, ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS as applicable to the transition to ICD-10.Primary coding responsibility is Inpatient Coding. Qualifications
Education

H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required

Coding Certificate program (AHIMA accredited) Preferred
Work Experience
-
1 year of coding experience Required

Experience in coding at a multi-facility organization and remote coding experience is Preferred
Licenses and Certifications
- None Required
Additional Licenses and Certifications
- One or more certifications - RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCA, CCS-P, CPC, CIC, CPC-A, CPC-H Required
