This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the screen out listed below. This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. The Screen-out for this position is performing the following tasks: Comprehensive understanding of breaking strains, safe working loads, and the physical characteristics of basic rigging equipment (e.g., jacks, chain falls, wire ropes, fiber rope, lifting gear, and slings); Reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches, and floorplans; Operating forklifts (from 20,000 lbs. and below) and 5-ton trucks. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will perform and develop under specific instruction and guidance on all assignments, performing routine and less complex rigging while receiving guidance from a higher-grade Riggers. You must possess and apply basic knowledge in the principles of selecting and attaching hoisting and pulling gear for lifting, moving and positioning heavy machines, items of equipment, large structural parts, and other heavy loads. You will will take part in the installation/repair, cleanup team, aid, and contribute to the task as a member of the rigging team. You may be tasked with the fabrication, installation and repair of basic rigging gear and equipment. Security clearance required: Secret
