Chassis Technician

Job Summary:

Completes troubleshooting, repairs and maintenance on chassis products in a service workshop independently while coaching and developing less experienced technicians

We are looking for a talented Chassis Technician to join our Distribution business in (Coburg, OR).

• Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting,maintenance,andcomplexrepairsonchassisandrelatedvehiclesystems.

• Completepreventativemaintenanceandinspectionsonchassiscomponentstoensureequipmentreliabilityandperformance.

• Utilizeelectronicdiagnostictools,servicemanuals,andothertechnicalresourcestoaccuratelyidentifyandresolveissues.

• Completeservicedocumentation,workorders,warrantyclaims,andrepairrecordsaccuratelyandtimely.

• Coachandsupportjuniortechniciansandapprenticesbysharingtechnicalknowledgeandbestpractices.

• Maintainaclean,safe,andorganizedworkarea,tools,andequipment.

• AdheretoCumminsHealth,Safety&Environmentalpoliciesandprocedureswhilepromotingastrongsafetyculture.

• Participateinongoingtraininganddevelopmenttomaintainandexpandtechnicalskills.

In order to be succesful in this role you will need the following:

• Advancedknowledgeandexperiencewithchassissystems,diagnostics,repair,andmaintenance.

• Abilitytoperformcomplextroubleshootingandrepairsusingelectronicservicetoolsanddiagnosticsoftware.

• Strongunderstandingofelectrical,mechanical,fuel,cooling,exhaust,aftertreatment,driveline,andcontrolsystems.

• Experiencedocumentingrepairs,diagnostics,andmaintenanceactivitiesinservicemanagementsystems.

• Abilitytoprovideguidance,coaching,andtechnicalsupporttolessexperiencedtechnicians.

• Strongcommunication,customerservice,andteamworkskills.

• Commitmenttosafety,quality,andcontinuousimprovement.

• Vocationaldiplomafromarelevanttechnicalinstitutionpreferred.

• Validdriver'slicenserequired.

• CDLmayberequireduponhire.FederallawrequiresCDLholderstobeatleast21yearsofage.

• ApprenticeTrainedTechniciancertificationpreferred.

Work well in a team environment,

• A CDL may be required to obtain upon hire

• Federal law requires a CDL holder to be 21 years of age or older

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

Apprentice Trained Technician (Preferred).

Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution.

Locally valid driving permit

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

Advanced level knowledge of and/or experience with chassis products

Experience providing technical advice and coaching to more junior technicians (preferred)

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
