Full job description

Senior Windows Application Developer Description - Overview We are looking for a Software Engineer to contribute to HP's Insights Analytics platform focused on Windows endpoint telemetry, diagnostics, and device intelligence. This role involves building reliable data collection services, cloud integrations, deployment solutions, and analytics capabilities for enterprise-managed Windows environments.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Windows-based telemetry and analytics components.

  • Build windows services and background processes for collecting device health, inventory, and performance data.

  • Implement scalable telemetry integrations with cloud-based analytics platforms.

  • Develop plugin-based capabilities to extend endpoint functionality.

  • Troubleshoot production issues, application crashes, and deployment failures.

  • Support enterprise deployments and update mechanisms.

  • Contribute to AI-enabled diagnostics, automation, and agent workflows.

  • Collaborate with product, cloud, and platform engineering teams.

Required Qualifications

Windows Platform Expertise

  • Strong understanding of Windows internals.

  • Experience developing Windows Services and background applications.

  • Knowledge of Windows Registry, WMI, Event Logs, Performance Counters, and system diagnostics.

  • Understanding of Active Directory, domain-joined devices, and enterprise device management.

Software Development

  • Strong proficiency in:

  • C#

  • C++

  • Powershell - development modules

  • Experience with plugin architecture and modular software design.

  • Ability to debug crashes and analyze application logs.

Enterprise Networking

  • Experience developing code that supports:

  • Enterprise proxies

  • Kerberos authentication

  • NTLM authentication

  • Secure network communications

Cloud & Data Platforms

  • Hands-on AWS experience with:

  • AWS IoT

  • AWS Kinesis

  • AWS CloudFront

  • Understanding of telemetry pipelines and event-driven systems.

AIAgents & Workflow orchestration

  • Exposure to AI agents and workflow orchestration.

  • Familiarity with MCP tools and integrations is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with developing windows .net based services desktop based application with windows internals knowledge

  • Familiarity with client-server architecture. AWS managed services knowledge is preferrable.

  • Analytical skills with respect to understanding of device data patterns.

  • Experience collecting and analyzing low-level device telemetry.

  • Knowledge of enterprise security and compliance practices.

Experience & Education

  • 4–7 years of software engineering experience.

  • 4+ years developing enterprise Windows applications.

  • Experience supporting software deployed at enterprise scale.

  • B.E/ B.Tech preferred or any Bachelors degree.
