HP Print Operations Inkjet Product Engineering team provides the end-to-end Engineering leadership to our Manufacturing Partners, Research & Development Labs and Global Business Units to enable manufacturing solutions for delivering timely New Product Introduction (NPI) to market and ensuring robust product quality to achieve great Customer Experiences.

Job Description

We are seeking candidates for our HP Inkjet Operations team in Thailand. This role offers a unique opportunity to support on-time delivery of HP’s Inkjet products to WW markets, contribute to innovative projects and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and lead internal & outsourced development activities with manufacturing partners and suppliers in support of the worldwide manufacture of Inkjet products from NPI through end of lifecycle.

  • Lead day-to-day issues management with manufacturing partner, bringing in new information, insights and/or learnings to solve problems.

  • Lead initiatives including Lean 6-Sigma projects to proactively drive manufacturing partner Process Excellence and Technical Capability improvements.

  • Drive manufacturing partner’s Direct/Indirect Labor optimization and production thruput improvements.

  • Support part/product qualification activities to avoid or mitigate product shipment risks due to part Assurance of Supply (AOS) issues.

  • Influence R&D & GBU in the development of new products, services & solutions for HP Inkjet portfolio.

  • Optimize and take cost out through Automation, Design influence, Manufacturing Overheads /Line Tooling/Test optimization, and Warranty reduction.

  • Drive Future Ready Transformation initiatives to support HP evolution to an Agile, Resilient & Sustainable Supply Chain.

  • Collaborate and communicate with Management, internal and outsourced development partners regarding design status, project progress, and issue resolution.

Education & Experience

We are looking for a high performer with the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or equivalent.

  • Typically has 2-4 years of work experience, preferably in engineering design, engineering design tools and software packages, or a related field or an advanced degree with little or no work experience.

  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Good understanding of material properties, hardware, and electrical component design.

  • Experience in 3D CAD software, statistical analysis & data visualization.

  • Proficiency in programming will be an added advantage.

  • Strong English communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
