Overview

GENERAL SUMMARY

This is a five year contract. The Singapore Project Director is the project leader, and lead client contact for the delivery of a multi-year Joint Commission International consulting engagement based in Singapore. This is a team lead and client-facing role that requires project management JCI accreditation leadership and quality management experience. This is a highly visible position that will require a hands-on leader to successfully manage all aspects of multi-phase, complex project as well as build and maintain strong client relationships.

Responsibilities

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Management

  1. Provide dedicated project management leadership for multi-year JCI engagement. Develop workplans (timeline, milestones, roles and responsibilities, due dates, budget, and dependencies) in coordination with a delivery team of consultants and other Enterprise team members

  2. Develop and maintain senior and mid-level client relationships throughout planning and delivery of project.

  3. Track and communicate project milestones. Hold owners accountable for project deliverables. Maintain and revise workplans for the duration of the projects.

  4. Provide regular reporting to consulting team, client team, and leadership on project progress, dependencies, and key issues. Facilitate issue resolution within established project timeframe.

  5. Compile and document final materials upon completion of each project deliverable.

Project Delivery

Serve as a lead consultant for key components of the project:

  1. Lead a team in evaluation and documentation of JCI standards to meet local requirements.

  2. Lead a team to conduct evaluation and documentation of hospital performance based on established performance criteria.

  3. Identifying training needs by consulting with the project stakeholders

  4. Develop and administer training programs and coaching in person or online

  5. Conduct, document and track ongoing action plans.

  6. Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED

Education and Experience :

  1. The following relevant education is required:

a. Physician: degree of Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.), Board Eligible or Board Certified at time of hire

b. Nurse: graduated from an approved school of nursing and have a Master’s degree in an appropriate discipline.

c. Administrator: Master’s degree in a health-related field.

d. Pharmacist: Doctor of Pharmacy degree (Pharm.D.) or equivalent

e. Engineer: Healthcare Environment of Care experience with master’s degree

f. Other health care practitioner: advanced degree (Master’s or Doctor’s) in their related field.

g. Current professional licensure in related disciplines is required (when required by law) at time of hire.

h. No history of disciplinary action(s) relative to current or previous professional license, provided such adverse action did not result solely from an individual’s health status.

  1. Ten or more years of recent experience in health care, with seven to ten years of progressively more responsible experience in senior healthcare management or demonstrated consulting expertise.

  2. Five or more years leadership experience in preparing and maintaining JCI accreditation for a hospital setting.

  3. Extensive knowledge of and experience in health care operations, clinical practice, use of performance improvement methods to assess organizational performance, and current research and trends relative to health care practices.

  4. Must be able to commit to 5-year period of project cycle (barring any personal/health or other reasonable cause for early termination)

  5. Extensive proven professional experience or certification (e.g. PMP) around large-scale project management project

  6. Familiarity or working experience with Singapore Health system and/or Ministry of Health is highly desired/preferred

  7. Knowledge and experience working with clients and stakeholder groups in the healthcare environment. Possesses a working knowledge of current trends in health care and health care organizations.

  8. Strong communication and relationship management skills; experience coordinating with and influencing stakeholders including high-level executives.

  9. Leadership presence and ability to coach consultants and teams to develop solutions to complex problems.

  10. Strong written and verbal communication skills necessary to clearly and effectively present information and ideas in presentations, reports, and discussions.
