Under the direct supervision of a licensed Pharmacist, assists in the daily operations of the Pharmacy Department.
Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED
-
Registered with state of NH within 30 days of hire

New Hampshire registered Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) with the (PTCB or NHA)

Sterile compounding experience or 6 months as Pharmacy Tech I required.
Major Responsibilities:
-
Competent in all pharmacy roles/shifts within the department and fulfills all duties of the pharmacy technician I
-
Prepares sterile compounds and applies knowledge of USP pharmaceutical compounding of sterile preparations
-
Maintains competency in cleaning and disinfection of the Primary engineering control (PEC) and secondary engineering control (SEC)as demonstrated by successful monthly surface sampling results below USP797 accepted action levels
-
Completes required continued education to maintain sterile compounding registration with the New Hampshire Board of Pharmacy
-
Completes daily tasks and documentation for all tasks assigned to sterile compounding of the PEC and SEC.

Maintains competency in the IV workflow system and maintaining accuracy below Exeter Hospital Pharmacy defined action level

Assist with the orientation and training of new staff

Performs other duties and projects as assigned
