Maintenance Mechanic - Direct hire

Our client, an industry leader in industrial services and manufacturing, is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join their team in Green Bay, WI. The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on heat-treat equipment, CNC machining centers, and supporting plant infrastructure. This role ensures safe, reliable, and efficient operation of production equipment to support on-time delivery, quality, and cost objectives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude, excellent teamwork skills, and a proactive approach to maintenance, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Location: De Pere, WI

Pay Range: $72000 - $83200

Shift: First Shift

What's the Job?

  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on heat-treat equipment, CNC machining centers, and supporting plant infrastructure.

  • Inspect equipment for wear, leaks, or abnormal conditions and report findings.

  • Keep maintenance checklists and logs up to date.

  • Follow all plant safety rules, including lockout/tagout (LOTO).

  • Maintain clean and organized work areas and use proper personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.

What's Needed?

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Reliable attendance and good teamwork skills.

  • Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in heat-treat or CNC machining environments.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, drives, belts, chains, gearboxes, and electrical fundamentals (480V, 3-phase, control circuits).

  • Ability to read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and equipment manuals, work independently with minimal supervision, and find needed parts and order them.
