Description:

You will be the Production Assembler C130 for the team which is responsible for using jigs, fixtures, rivet‑upsetting equipment, and hand tools to assemble aircraft components.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Production Assembler C130, you will be responsible for reading and interpreting detail, assembly, and installation blueprints or other authorized documents to obtain assembly and installation information and material callouts.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Setting up and using jigs and fixtures to ensure precise part alignment

  • Operating rivet‑upsetting and bench‑assembly equipment to secure fasteners

  • Applying rules, squares, protractors, and dividers to verify geometry and dimensions

  • Performing arithmetic, including decimals and fractions, to calculate material requirements and tolerances

  • Working to exacting tolerances required for each assembly operation

Basic Qualifications:

Requires twelve months previous experience in production assembly-type work or mechanical experience such as automotive/HVAC repair, construction, and bench assembly work.. Ability to read assembly blueprints in order to perform work described. Familiarity with various hand tools. Must Pass Proficiency Demonstrations to retain employment

Desired Skills:

Drilling experience

Technical experience similar to Auto mechanic/auto body repair, HVAC technician, construction experience

Bench Assembly experience

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
