Full job description
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Reception of visitors and routing of telephone calls. Sorting of office and U.S. mail. Prepare outgoing mail for schools and U.S. mail. Maintain copy room and equipment.
PAY GRADE: N-207- Grade 4 - Salary Range: $26,340.00 to $40,302.00. Salary placement will be based on Douglas County Board of Education approved salary schedules and years of verified experience.
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 207 Days (11 Months)
REPORTS TO: Principal
EDUCATION LEVEL: High School Graduate
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Routine physical activities that are required to fulfill job responsibilities. Sedentary work : Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body; sedentary work involves sitting most of the time; jobs are sedentary if working and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
PROFICIENT SKILLS: Excellent communication skils. Computer skills. General working knowledge of office equipment. Demonstrate sound judgement and responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Essential duties are assigned to the 11-Month Office/Health Monitor Clerk based on the needs of the school and may vary from one school to another.
1. Greets visitors, answers inquiries, refer visitors to proper person department. 2. Place repair calls for mail room copy room equipment as necessary. 3. Issues work permits. 4. Maintains orderly reception room. 5. Maintain copy room and equipment. 6. Maintains room reservations online and post daily schedule. 7. Sorts and stamp U.S. mail. 8. Sorts all mail for delivery to designated schools. 9. Distributes incoming mail into appropriate mailboxes. 10. Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance. 11. Performs all other duties as assigned.
