About the Unit

Our Internal Medicine/Pediatrics practice is located at 3185 Macatawa Dr in Grandville. We currently have 8 providers with plans for a new physician in fall of 2026. We are internal medicine and Pediatrics so we see both adults and children. Our MAs typically work a four-day work week, with one early morning and one late night until 7pm. We have a positive and friendly culture with providers and staff who enjoy teaching.

There are over 40 different types of primary care and specialty practices, which allows those who work in these clinics the opportunity to learn and explore various interests or to specialize in one area.

Scope of work 

As a Medical Assistant with Corewell Health, you'll be a member of our clinical support team and work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of the best possible care. You'll be a vital part of our team, making a real difference in the lives of our patients.

Qualifications 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent Required

  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program that includes hands-on, in-person clinical skills training OR a minimum of one (1) year of experience working specifically in the role of a Medical Assistant, LPN, Paramedic or EMT performing direct patient care and clinical support functions consistent with MA scope of practice Required

  • 1 year of relevant experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting Preferred

  • AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required within 90 Days

  • One of the following Required within 120 Days

  • AAMA Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)

  • AMT Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)

  • NHA Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA)

  • NCCT Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA)

  • NAHP Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA)
