Machining Technician – Tool & Die Repair
Deco Products Company is hiring a Machining Technician – Tool & Die Repair in Decorah, Iowa. This hands-on role focuses on machining, repairing, and maintaining production tools and tooling components.

What You Will Do

Set up and run manual lathes and milling machines for tool repair work.

Use surface grinders and other tool room equipment to repair and maintain production tooling.

Machine, repair, and modify precision metal parts and tooling components.

Read and follow blueprints, drawings, specifications, and work instructions.

Use measuring tools to confirm accuracy, quality, and required tolerances.

Troubleshoot and repair production tooling, dies, molds, trim dies, and fixtures.

Document repair work and follow all safety procedures.
What We Are Looking For

Must be able to set up and operate manual lathes and milling machines for repair work.

Mechanical ability, machining interest, and willingness to continue learning are important.

Tool room, machining, tool and die repair, or related hands-on experience is preferred.

Technical college coursework or hands-on lab experience in machining, CNC machining, machine tool technology, or tool and die will be considered.

CNC machining experience is helpful, but this is not a production CNC operator role.

Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools is preferred.

Strong math, troubleshooting, attention to detail, and safe work habits are required.

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
