Job Description Summary

As a member of the site leadership team, you will be an active contributor to the Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost (SQDC) goals for the business unit. This role will require you to lead the Steam Turbine cell within the site. The Cell Leader’s job activities include but not limited to scheduling, cost estimating, material management, and directing operations in a shop structure.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Utilizes lean methodologies to drive SQDC for the Steam Turbine Cell lowering risk and increasing speed of delivery.

  • Wing to wing management of repair execution including schedules, parts, cost control and management of both hourly and salary employee populations for the Steam Cell.

  • Implement/improve maturity of daily management, problem solving and visual management.

  • Advances the department competitiveness through workforce training/development, technology improvements and partnering with sales to understand market trends, pricing strategy and profitability of repairs/improvements required.

  • Order Management – Responsible for site S&OP planning, identifying load/capacity gaps and working to alleviate conflicts to meet volume objectives.

  • Serve as the Americas Repairs coordinator to support load allocation across the Americas network with consideration to load leveling, technology match and urgency (forced outage)

  • Developing specialized knowledge in their discipline. Serves as best practice/quality resource. Has awareness of latest technical developments in own area. Contributes towards strategy and policy development, and ensure delivery within area of responsibility.

  • Uses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems in areas of operational/product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering. Takes new perspective on existing solutions. Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) or related discipline from an accredited university or college and 5+ years of turbine or steam turbine maintenance experience, power generation, repairs or custom manufacturing experience or similar industry experience; or a High School diploma / GED with 9+ years of turbine or steam turbine maintenance experience, power generation, repairs or custom manufacturing experience or similar industry experience.

  • 3+ years experience in a People Leading role

  • Excellent interpersonal, influence, and oral/written communication with all levels; ability to manage multiple, high-priority tasks under tight deadlines.

Relocation Assistance Provided: Yes

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $104,200.00 and $173,700.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
