We are looking for a Structural Engineer with a minimum 7 years of experience for our LA – Woodland Hills office, who wants to work and grow as a team player within our progressive multi-discipline firm. The successful individual will be a licensed engineer with solid experience in the design of steel and concrete substation structures. Experience with other buildings and structure types is also welcome.

Key focus areas include Add expertise to our structural group in substation structures and foundation designs., Perform structural analysis, design, and detailing on a variety of commercial & institutional building projects., and Collaborate with the architect, owner, and contractor to provide a well-coordinated and high-quality set of structural drawings..

Successful candidates bring 7 Years Structural Engineer Experience, Licensed Engineer, and B.S. In Civil Or Structural Engineering. Important skills include Engineering, Structural Analysis, Design, Detailing, Collaboration, and Effective Communication. Preferred (not required): Project Management, Self-Starter, Follow Through, and Positive Working Relationships.

We are looking for a Structural Engineer with a minimum 7 years of experience for our LA – Woodland Hills office, who wants to work and grow as a team player within our progressive multi-discipline firm. In This Role You Will

  • Add expertise to our structural group in substation structures and foundation designs. Have the ability to work on many other exciting projects energy related as well as other markets.

  • Perform structural analysis, design, and detailing on a variety of commercial & institutional building projects.

  • Collaborate with the architect, owner, and contractor to provide a well-coordinated and high-quality set of structural drawings.

  • Lead project teams of engineers, designers and drafters to execute structural designs.

  • Meet with the project team to ensure effective communication flow during design.

  • Interface with the contractor during construction to ensure positive results with minimum complications.

  • Manage profitability of projects and maintain a working relationship with clients.

  • Work closely with the Discipline Manager to support the needs of the department, projects, and growth objectives.

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications

  • B.S. degree in Civil or Structural engineering.

  • 7 or more years of experience with design of concrete and steel structures.

  • Substation structure and foundation design experience.

  • Ability to work independently with proper engineering oversight.

  • Ability to work and collaborate in larger project teams.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PE or SE registration in any state.

  • Registered CA Structural Engineer.

  • M.S. degree in Structural Engineering or related field.

  • Experience with SCE, LADWP, PG&E substation standards.

  • Multi-discipline project management experience.

  • Experience with 3D modeling software (ETABS, RISA, SAFE).

  • Must be a self-starter who is able to see the big picture and connect the vision of the company with his/her job, be persistent, and follow through in a consistent manner.

  • Passionate about the client or pursuit and takes ownership of his/her work.

  • Able to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment (or demonstrate ability to develop such abilities).

  • Maintain positive working relationships with internal and external customers.
