Work Shift Day (United States of America)

Position Summary: The Infection Preventionist is responsible for activities surrounding infection prevention and control with emphasis on surveillance, investigation, data analysis/interpretation, consultation, and education. Through these activities, the Infection Preventionist supports the Hospital Infection Prevention Program to improve patient outcomes in all clinical areas as assigned by the director. This role serves as the Infection Prevention Officer.

Position Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Healthcare related field and 2 years or more of experience in nursing or acute care setting. Additional years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of minimum education requirement.

3+ years of Infection Preventionist HIGHLY PREFERRED!!

Skills required: Computer skills required to include Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Certifications required: Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS).
