Position Summary:

Florida Atlantic University is seeking several Lifeguards. - Jupiter, FL.

The Aquatic center lifeguards are primarily responsible for guest safety. This includes maintaining equipment, enforcing guidelines, member service and keeping areas clean and well organized.

Summary of responsibilities:

  • Reports to the Assistant Director of Facility Operations

  • Open and close pool, depending on schedule and hours

  • Responsible to act as first responder in the event of an emergency

  • Monitor activities in the pool or on the pool deck closely and identify any safety issues

  • Observe weather to ensure guest safety

  • Maintain a clean environment in and around the pool

  • Provide assistance to patrons when appropriate

  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

FAU degree-seeking undergraduate student with a minimum of six credit hours (or twelve if international) and a 2.5 GPA required.

Salary:

$18 hourly.
