Full job description
Employment Type: Part time Shift: Day Shift
Description: Involved with registration, collection, processing and quality control of specimens, receives and instructs patients, processes lab orders and distributes laboratory reports. Status: Part Time
Shift: Day Shift/Varies
What you will need:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Phlebotomy training certification preferred.
- Experience preferred.
- Proficient use of computers.
What you will do:
- Collect blood samples from patients.
- Accurately identify, lab transfer and process specimens.
- Receives and instructs patients, nurses, staff physicians, doctor’s offices regarding proper collection of specimens and laboratory reports, procedures and other lab information.
- Receives and instructs patients, interprets physician’s orders, enters orders into lab computer system and schedules appointments.
