Full job description
DEFINITION: Assists an Engineer-in-Charge of Maintenance 2 in a state department, institution, or agency by supervising during a designated tour of duty the operation and maintenance of mechanical equipment and repair and maintenance of buildings and grounds; does other related duties.

REQUIREMENTS:
EXPERIENCE: Three (3) years of supervisory experience in charge of the operation and maintenance of utilities and maintenance programs of an institution, college, or similar multibuilding complex.
NOTE: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering may be substituted for two (2) years of required experience.
NOTE: A valid professional Engineer's License issued by the NJ State Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors may be substituted for two (2) years of required experience.
NOTE: Applicants may be required to possess a license as an Operating Engineer of the appropriate grade and type issued by the NJ Department of Labor.
LICENSE: Appointees will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle, rather than employee mobility, is necessary to perform essential duties of the position.
